From Build to Research Readiness
The checks that separate assembled equipment from a defensible observational study.

The laboratory can look finished before it is ready to produce dependable observations. OCR therefore separates physical assembly from operational readiness, and operational readiness from the start of OCR-LAB-001.
Safety review
The founder reported that GFCI protection was present and successfully tested, and that plugs and adapters were elevated outside the shower area. These are operator reports, not independent electrical inspections. Final cable routing, drip loops, mechanical support and leak-detector function remain subject to verification.
Measurement review
Water-testing instruments need verified capabilities, appropriate calibration and consistent procedures. Environmental probes require a recorded location and a documented comparison or calibration method. A stable baseline should be recorded before study observations begin.
Protocol review
The study plan should define its objective, observational unit, intended measurements, frequency, data dictionary, photo protocol, deviation log and stopping criteria. An initial one-plant study should be described as exploratory, with limitations stated in advance.
Publication review
Before release, all photographs, diagrams and downloadable files will be checked for identifying details and embedded metadata. Personal archives remain separate from the sanitized public record.
Current status: Pre-start readiness review. This article reports no experiment initiation, experimental results, or safety certification.
